What you can import #
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox, Safari and Apple Passwords, Proton Pass, 1Password, Bitwarden, KeePassXC, LastPass, Dashlane, Google Authenticator, Aegis and 2FAS. The file is read on your PC; nothing is uploaded.
1. Export from your old app #
Choose an unencrypted export (CSV, JSON or ZIP). Passyble can't open other apps' encrypted exports. Where to find it:
- Chrome, Edge, Brave: Password Manager → Settings → Export passwords (CSV).
- Firefox: about:logins → ⋯ → Export passwords (CSV).
- Apple Passwords: Passwords app → File → Export All Passwords (CSV).
- Bitwarden: Tools → Export vault → .json (not the encrypted one), or .csv.
- 1Password: File → Export → choose the account → 1PUX (or CSV).
- Proton Pass: Settings → Export → unencrypted ZIP, or CSV.
- KeePassXC: Database → Export → CSV File.
- LastPass: Account options → Advanced → Export (CSV).
- Dashlane: Settings → Export data → CSV.
- Aegis: Settings → Import & Export → Export → JSON, without encryption.
- 2FAS: Settings → 2FAS Backup → Export to file, without a password.
2. Import it into Passyble #
- Settings → Import and export → Import from another app → Choose file…. Or simply drop the file onto the Passyble window.
- Check the preview. It shows what's new, what's merged with logins you already have, and what's skipped and why. Where passwords differ for the same account, you pick the one to keep; the other goes into the item's password history.
- Click Import.
3. Clean up #
- Delete the export file and empty the Recycle Bin: it holds your passwords in plain text.
- Turn off the old password manager's autofill, so two managers don't compete. In Chrome: Settings → Autofill and passwords → Google Password Manager → Settings → Offer to save passwords: off.
Google Authenticator #
In the app: Menu → Transfer accounts → Export accounts. Take a screenshot of each QR code and import the screenshots, or scan them with any QR reader and paste the otpauth-migration:// links under Or paste links.
Duplicates #
Logins saved twice (same website and username) can be merged into one: Import and export → Find duplicates. So can 2FA codes from an authenticator app and the logins they belong to.
